Secret of Monkey Island XBLA-Bound?

The German USK ratings board recently listed that a special edition of The Secret of Monkey Island–the 1990 PC point-and-click game–will come to Xbox Live Arcade, according to GamerBytes.

This is kind of old classic that will get hardcore and PC fans enthused. Sure, it’s no Uno or chess, but the clever humor and strange puzzle logic to The Secret of Monkey Island and games of its ilk are solely missed in today’s action-heavy gaming wonderland. Seeing Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones, and Grim Fandango would be excellent steps, too.

After having played a ton of Sam and Max on GameTap a year ago, I have a renewed love for point and click adventures with good dialogue and smart gameplay. I’m definitely looking forward to this.
